EDU 7009 Smartboard Basics: Using an Interactive Whiteboard to Enhance Student Engagement Course Description: Learn how to create standards based lessons using Smart Notebook software to engage students while using the interactive whiteboard. Participants will discover the fundamentals of an interactive whiteboard, look at different models available, including Smartboard, Promethean, and Mimio, learn how to use the software that makes lessons “come alive” and learn how to access additional online resources to support using the interactive whiteboard to enhance instruction. Participants will leave with a bank of lessons that were created and can be used in their classroom immediately.
